Abstract

The survey of the Aboriginal rock engravings at N'Dhala Gorge, Northern Territory, which forms the basis of this thesis, was originally suggested as a research proposal by the Conservation Commission of the Northern Territory for the Field Research Grant Programme of the North Australia Research Unit (N.A.R.U.).
