Description: | Field assistant, Makisi Sauleca and field worker, Paras Ram, set up a cross. After the male and female parents have been selected, they are placed together in a wire frame. The butt ends are immersed in a solution of sulphurous and phosphoric acids, which helps to keep the plants alive. |
